How To Help

A network of many volunteers operates the Family House twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

There are so many ways you can help the Kiwanis Family House. What ever you choose to do, your contributions are always appreciated. If time isn't available to volunteer, you can contribute financially through a number of programs.

The following organizations have contributed to the success of the Kiwanis Family House. We are truly grateful for their support.

Volunteer at the UCD Medical center Gift Shop

You can help out the Kiwanis Family House by volunteering to work in the UCD Medical Center Gift Shop.

This is an exciting, upbeat place to volunteer in the hospital. Volunteers perform a variety of duties while showing and selling wonderful merchandise to visitors, patients and staff. Volunteers open new merchandise, restock, cashier, and provide ideas for merchandising.
All proceeds from sales are donated to the UC Davis Health System for hospital projects and services.

The gift shop provides a convenient source of various merchandise for sale. The gift shop is located in the Tower Lobby of the main hospital. You will find a variety of gifts, greeting cards, candy, magazines, toys, activity games and many other wonderful items!!!

The gift shop is open Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. and on weekends from noon to 4 p.m. For more information about the shop, please call (916) 734-2403.
